Description
Very nice tea cup and saucer, hand painted with a cabbage rose and a butter fly, from Ardalt. Tea cup is 3 7/8 inches diameter at the top X 2 inches tall and the saucer is 5 1/2 inches diameter X approx 3/4 inches deep. Both the tea cup on the outside and the saucer on the bottom are white, the blue tint is from the camera and back ground. Both are in excellent condition with no damage found. Buy Happy!The AA mark of Ardalt , was a trademark for tableware, dishes, jars and vases registered by ARDALT Inc. Corp., 95 Madison AVE., New York and first used in 1945. On some pieces the trademark 'Lenwile' occurs which was also registered by the ARDALT Inc., in 1945, for use on figurines and statuettes as well as tea sets. Both marks have been used on Japanese pieces.
