    Up for sale is an
    EXTREMELY RARE AND VINTAGE
    GON BOPS TAMBORA IN EXCELLENT CONDITION
    . The Heads look as though neither a hand or mallet has ever touched them. There are a couple of tiny scratches, but you need to look hard to find them.
    I have tried to find more information on this drum, but Google has turned up very little. I have managed to find a couple of photos and a website that offers replacement heads. I get the impression that only a very few were ever manufactured and the model was quickly discontinued since it was a drum type out their normal area of expertise.
    The Heads are 12-1/4" in diameter. The shell is made of Oak and is just under 17" in length. The weight of the drum itself is just over 15 lbs.
    Of course this drum was manufactured to be played, but it is such a "One of a Kind" piece, that it would make a great addition to a collector's inventory or a percussion museum.
