    Description

This is a charming PAIR of hand painted porcelain French Provincial figurines, a man and a woman, Made in Occupied Japan (painted on bottom). The man is holding a book, and the woman has a small bouquet of flowers. They are dressed in 18th Century style French clothing. The man and woman are matching set in that they have the same type of faces, and their clothing colors (pastels: pale blue, pink and green) match.
The figurines have a matte finish, which is hard to find. Most pieces of this type have a glossy finish.
This pair would make a lovely display as part of a larger group of these figurines (for a collector) or could be used to brighten up a room of complementary colors.
