Optical Educational Human Ear 3D Anatomy Model ability to dissect

An Ear model.
This is from the early 1980s, I believe.  I got it from JHS189 in Queens NY.
They were doing a whole floor cleanout and literally not caring what they were throwing out.
I asked permission to go through the staging area where they were piling things, and this is one of many treasures I saved.
It was in the box, wrapped up, so I don't think it was ever used in the classroom, though I cannot say for sure.
There was another one, with no box that looked kind of beat up, so I think that was the one the teacher would have used for lessons on the ear.
It has two removable parts.

We don't know the exact dates manufacture but it was sometime before reunification in 1989.
This fantastic model shows the internal and external anatomy of the human ear.
It is mounted on a white plastic base.
