Steinman, Consulting Engineer – Map-STATE OF MICHIGAN, MACKINAC BRIDGE – The new, five-mile Mackinac Bridge will link two important areas of Michigan, the upper and lower peninsulas. It will accommodate four lanes of traffic, and etc., etc. – Estimated cost of the bridge is about 100 million dollars. The anticipated date of opening is November, 1957. – © Harvey - Sturgis, Mich. This is from a group of items a couple picked up on their trip to Michigan in 1955. The Placemat is dated by hand, 8-12-55. The Placemat has been folded and will be shipped that way.
