Vtg 1950s White Metal Ashtray Souvenir Collector of Kansas Sites Made JapanDuring the 1950s and 60s this little white metal colorful ashtray was a favored souvenir of travelers as they followed the Interstate highway system across the United States. Almost any food or gas station would have sold them, whether the buyer smoked or not. They highlighted the best locations of a state’s tourist attractions. Notables on this one: Geographic Center of USA, Capital Building in Topeka, Dodge City –Wild West town of Cowboys, Buffalo, Oil Wells, and Pheasant Hunting—to name a few. The tray is in very good to excellent vintage condition on the front; with minor damage to the back side (see photos) and measures approximately 4 ¾” by 3 ¼”.
Please keep in mind this is vintage and not a new item. I try to describe items as accurately as possible, but cannot always detail each flaw. Crazing and manufacturing flaws such as pin heads, color variations, straw marks, bubbles, inclusions, and other manufacturing anomalies, which are considered normal for glass, china, and pottery of age. Most vintage items areas they came from an estate, so may have water stains inside vases of age, scuff to wood, etc. For that reason, all items are photographed and described with honest intent. I believe in honest and fair dealings and expect that you do too. Payment is due within 3 days of the Auction’s ending. If you have any question whatsoever about any item, please e-mail me before bidding. I want you to be completely happy with your purchase. I will package your items carefully, the same as I would like them packaged if being sent to me. Also, I do not have any pets or smokers in my home.
